In collaboration with Argentinian performance artist Lux Valladolid, Protoplast shows a documentary photographic work at Filiale Basel art space before and during Kunsttage Basel (August 29–31, 2025), offering a glimpse into the Protoplast studio. invited by curator Petra Lüning. The group exhibition "Freischwimmen" (Kunst im Bad), is taking place at Schlossbad Erwitte in Germany. The motto "Freischwimmen" combines the athletic aspect of swimming with its metaphorical meaning. Swimming lets you escape the everyday and all its constraints. Protoplast installed a site-specific artwork. The opening was on Friday, July 11, 2025. We would like to thank the Cultural Office of the City of Erwitte for their support.

Swiss television DRS "Kultur im Gespräch" and 3Sat produced and broadcast a film about this project on 14 and 20 November 1993. And on 30 November 1993, Swiss Radio DRS2 reported on "Protoplast light" - the project for ecological living by halving consumption in support of the Basel Lighthouse in the fight against AIDS.

In 1992, Claudia and Julia Müller, Esther Hiepler and Daniela Keiser invited Protoplast to participate in the group exhibition SORTIMENT at Elisabethenstrasse 36 in Basel. For six weeks, the exhibition presented editions by several selected artists from northwestern Switzerland, shaped by contemporary debates surrounding commercial issues in art. In this context, Protoplast introduced the artefact «vvvirus» to the public at this unique location.
